Ampadu and Hudson-Odoi play as Chelsea youngsters are beaten by Liverpool

Ethan Ampadu impressed for Chelsea last season

Ethan Ampadu and Callum Hudson-Odoi both played as Chelsea’s development side lost 3-1 at home to Liverpool ahead of the first team’s game against the Reds.

Hudson-Odoi set up Chelsea’s goal in the Premier League 2 game at Aldershot, where the visitors were two up at half-time after goals from Rafael Camacho and Matty Virtue.

The young Blues hit back a couple of minutes into the second half when Hudson-Odoi crossed for Josh Grant to score.

But Chelsea missed a number of chances to equalise before Virtue scored his second of the match to seal Liverpool’s win.
