His Chelsea team-mates Marc Guéhi, Jonathan Panzo, George McEachran and Callum Hudson-Odoi have also been named in the squad, as has Fulham’s Steven Sessegnon.
They will travel to India later this week for a training camp in Mumbai, where they will play a warm-up game against New Zealand on Sunday.
The opening World Cup game will be in Kolkata against Chile the following Sunday and they then play Mexico three days later before their final group match, against Iraq, on Saturday 14 October.
