Fiorentina consider Salah legal action
Fiorentina say they could take legal action after claiming Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah has rejected a second loan spell with them.
Salah, 23, spent the latter half of last season on loan at the Serie A club as part of the deal that brought Juan Cuadrado to Stamford Bridge.
At the time of signing him, Fiorentina said the loan agreement could be extended into the 2015-16 season or be made permanent, and have been negotiating his return this summer.
However, they now say Salah – who scored nine goals in 26 appearances for the Viola – has turned them down and refused to join their pre-season training sessions, in the hope of securing a move elsewhere.
In a statement, the Italian side said: “Through his representative, the player has rejected our improved contract offer and expressed his desire to join another club.
“He has also informed us that he does not intend to respond to our request for him to report back for pre-season training.
“As a result of the above, we have placed the matter in the hands of our lawyers so that they may assess all possible courses of action in order to protect the club’s rights.”
