Cesc Fabregas has completed his move from Chelsea to Monaco.
Fabregas, 31, won the Premier League title twice during his four-and-a-half-year spell at Stamford Bridge. He has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with his former club.
His final appearance for the Blues – and the former Arsenal midfielder’s 501st in English football – came in the recent FA Cup win against Nottingham Forest.
Fabregas played 198 times for Chelsea and also won the FA Cup and League Cup during his time at the club.
He played alongside Monaco boss Thierry Henry at Arsenal, who sold Fabregas to Barcelona in 2011.
The Spaniard bade an emotional farewell to the Bridge at the end of the Forest game.
He had been handed an increasingly rare start for the game and was also given the captain’s armband for what would be his final appearance.
Chelsea said on their website: “We thank Cesc for his wonderful service and wish him the very best of luck for the next chapter in what has been a fantastic career.
“There is no doubt Fabregas’s place in the Chelsea history books is assured given his achievements over the past four-and-a-half seasons.
“Big goals and outstanding moments of quality, all backed up by the ultimate aim, which is to be part of a successful, trophy-winning team.”
