The Football Association have fined Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas £12,000 for his comments about referee Chris Foy following the recent derby against QPR.
The Blues boss, who was also warned about his future conduct, admitted after last month’s defeat at Loftus Road that he had been “aggressive” towards the match official.
Villas-Boas denied charge of improper conduct but the verdict of an independent regulatory commission went against him.
He was furious that after awarding QPR an early penalty, Foy twice waved away Chelsea’s appeals for a spot-kick in the second half.
The Portuguese said at the time: “The ref was poor. Very, very poor. And it reflected in the result.
“I spoke to him at the end and I was aggressive to him and I don’t care whether he was okay with it or not.”
Foy sent off Jose Bosingwa and Didier Drogba and booked seven other Chelsea players during the match.
The club were subsequently fined £20,000 after admitting an FA charge of failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion.
