Roberto Di Matteo has again refused to comment on the issue of his future.
The Italian has transformed Chelsea’s fortunes since being installed as interim boss, leading them to the finals of the Champions League and FA Cup – and putting them within touching distance of the top four.
That has led to speculation he could be given the Blues manager’s job at the end of the season, but Di Matteo remains reluctant to discuss the issue.
“It’s important I focus on the team and the games ahead – and when the right time comes I’ll sit down and think about my holidays,” he joked.
“It’s irrelevant. I’m just focused on Newcastle on Wednesday night. I’m very happy in my position leading this club until the end of the season and that’s the situation.”
