Derby move for Chelsea youngster Palmer

Derby County have made an approach for Chelsea youngster Kasey Palmer.

Norwich City also want the 21-year-old, who is a product of Chelsea’s academy and spent the second half of last season on loan at Derby.

The Rams, who have since appointed Chelsea legend Frank Lampard as manager, are keen for him to return to Pride Park.

He was previously on loan at Huddersfield, helping the Yorkshire club win promotion via the play-offs and later featuring for them in the Premier League.

Palmer has not made a first-team appearance for Chelsea and his future appears to lie away from Stamford Bridge.
