Diego Costa has reiterated his desire to rejoin Atletico Madrid.
The Spain striker has been told he has no future at Chelsea, but the club have ordered him to return to training.
But Costa remains defiant – and believes he will secure a return to Atletico, who sold him to the Blues in 2014.
The La Liga club are under a transfer ban until January and there has been speculation that Costa could play elsewhere until then.
But Costa, who claims Chelsea do not want to release him and have rejected offers for him from other clubs, will apparently only consider a move to Atletico.
“My destiny is already set. I must return to Atletico Madrid next season,” he said in a statement.
“There happens to be an impasse as Chelsea do not want to release me.
“But I believe this situation will be resolved upon my return to Spain.”
