Chelsea boss Antonio Conte hinted his 3-4-3 formation was here to stay after their second win in a row using the new shape.
Diego Costa, Eden Hazard and Victor Moses were all on target as the Blues beat poor Leicester side 3-0 on Saturday.
Conte first started with three at the back in the 2-0 win at Hull, and believes it suits all of his players – not just the defenders.
He said: “When a coach arrives at a new team it’s important to have the time to understand the right characteristic, and above all to study the right fit for the team.
“After we conceded a lot of goals, I decided to change before the Hull game, and then we have continued.
“I think this system suits the talent of all players – the defenders, the midfielders and also wingers and strikers.
“Now we must continue to work and to follow this way because for me, but I think also for the players, it is the right way.”
Conte added he was pleased the work on the training ground on winning the ball back had translated into a good performance on the pitch.
He said: “I think that we played a very good game with a high intensity, good passing, we found the strikers between the lines and we created many chances.
“We were very aggressive when we lost the ball – we’re working a lot on this aspect and I’m pleased because today I saw the things we were working on this week.
“Now we have a whole week to work and to see who is in the best shape to play the next match.”
