Antonio Conte says maintaining Chelsea’s title challenge is being made easier by the winning mentality that he inherited at Stamford Bridge.
The majority of the Blues squad were part of Jose Mourinho’s Premier League winners in the 2014/15 campaign, while N’Golo Kante was a key factor in Leicester’s shock title success last season.
Conte, who took his side 11 points clear of nearest rivals Manchester City with victory over Swansea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, said: “It is not easy to keep the concentration for the whole championship. But I have a lot of players that played and won in the past.
“They knew very well the way we must continue to stay at the top of the table and to win the title. I am lucky to have a lot of players to have won a lot in the past.
“I have a team that until now that is deserving to stay on top of the table. If we are able to win the title I don’t know, but now we stay there and want to keep this position.
“We are playing good football with good intensity. We are scoring a lot of goals. The players are deserving this. Every day I see the commitment.”
