Focus on the present – Chelsea boss
Antonio Conte has refused to be drawn on whether Chelsea will look to tie Victor Moses to a new contract following reports Barcelona are interested in the player.
Moses, 25, has been a revelation since being deployed as a right wing-back in Blues boss Conte’s 3-4-3 formation.
That has led to speculation that Barca could make a move for the Nigeria international.
Asked if he would therefore be keen for Moses to be offered a new deal, Conte said: “About Victor, it is important to be focused on the present – focused game by game.
“Now we are doing very well. I like to think my players focus on the present and not on the future – not so long-term.
“We have just started this league and after a period of two bad defeats we have won six games in a row and it is important now to continue this.
“It is important to be focused and think of the present, not look to the future.”
Meanwhile, Chelsea captain John Terry could be sidelined for three weeks after picking up a new injury.
