Conte plays down Inter link
Antonio Conte has played down reports linking him with Inter Milan but has admitted that being separated from his family has been difficult.
Reports in Conte’s native Italy, where his family have remained, have claimed that the Chelsea boss is set to leave Stamford Bridge this summer and has already accepted an offer from Inter.
Asked if he had received an offer from the Serie A club, Conte said: “Me personally? No.”
Conte, whose team are 10 points clear at the top of the Premier League, signed a three-year contract when he took over at Chelsea last summer.
And the former Juventus boss has insisted he plans to move his family to England and stay with the Blues beyond the end of this season.
“I think the situation is very clear,” he said.
“I have a contract with Chelsea and we are trying to do something important with the club for the present and for the future.
“The only problem for me is that the family is missing me for sure.
“They stay in Italy and I am working for the future to try to bring them here and to stay together, because my family is missing me.”
Conte added: “The story (that he could leave) tells this, but I am not worried.
“With my players I want to work very hard and I think we have to continue in this way to do something important this season, because we are in the right position.”
