Conte laughs off rumours he faced the sack
Antonio Conte has laughed off Thursday’s speculation that he could be sacked as Chelsea boss.
Bookmakers suspended betting on Conte being the next Premier League manager to lose his job.
“I’m trying to find who put the money on,” joked Conte, who took over at Stamford Bridge in the summer.
The Italian added: “I take this with a smile. I’m focused on my work to improve the team.
“We are working very hard to change the situation from last season and I have good communication and a good relationship with the club.
“We are trying to build something important for the present and the future.”
Conte’s side face champions Leicester at the Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
Captain John Terry has been passed fit to return after recovering from an ankle injury.
Willian is unavailable following the recent death of his mother.
