Conte hails Chelsea fans after victory at Everton
Antonio Conte praised his players and Chelsea’s fans after the 3-0 triumph at Everton.
An overjoyed Conte celebrated in front of the travelling supporters following the crucial win at Goodison Park, which moved his side a step closer to the Premier League title.
“We have created this link between me and the fans which is incredible,” the Blues boss declared.
“I started to work at Chelsea only nine months ago and to see this passion, this type of relationship with the fans. is great for me, great for the players and the club.
“I think for us it is very important to keep this link between the fans and the club and to try to fight together to achieve a great result in the final games of the season.”
Everton caused Chelsea some problems before Pedro opened the scoring with a stunning strike on 66 minutes.
Gary Cahill made it 2-0 and Willian’s late third capped a convincing Blues win.
“I must be pleased with the performance,” Conte said.
“My players showed me great patience to wait for the right moment to lead, and then to score the second and third goals.”
