Antonio Conte has confirmed that Alvaro Morata is set to return for Chelsea against Roma.
The striker recently returned to training after a hamstring problem and is expected to start the Champions League game at Stamford Bridge.
“Alvaro is in contention for tomorrow’s game. He has trained with us and is in contention for tomorrow,” Blues boss Conte said.
Morata went off during Chelsea’s defeat against Manchester City before the international break and missed Saturday’s loss at Crystal Palace.
Asked if he feels it is important that Morata starts the game, Conte replied. “Do you think different? Then you answered.”
The Italian added: “I could have taken a risk on Saturday and forced him to play against Crystal Palace, but I am not so stupid.
“You have to make the best decision and for sure tomorrow I am not taking a risk if I decide Morata will play.”
N’Golo Kante and Victor Moses are both unavailable because of hamstring problems.
