Ashley Cole has more chance of featuring in Chelsea’s Champions League clash with Napoli than skipper John Terry, according to Andre Villas-Boas.
The Blues boss is reportedly considering taking a gamble on the fitness of Terry, who has missed the last four games with a knee problem.
But Villas-Boas insists the centre-back remains a major doubt and that Cole, who has also been nursing an injury, looks the more likely of the two to play in Naples.
Both players will be assessed during a training session on Monday evening, which will give a clearer indication of whether they will be involved in the first-leg encounter.
“It is important to see the impact of the training on John’s knee and then we will make a decision,” Villas-Boas said.
