AC Milan have completed the signing of Tiemoue Bakayoko on a season-long loan from Chelsea with the option of a permanent move.
The midfielder failed to impress last season following his move to Stamford Bridge from Monaco.
Milan expressed an interest in him and were given the green light to sign him when Bakayoko was told he was not in Blues boss Maurizio Sarri’s plans for this season.
The transfer window in England closed on Thursday but remains open elsewhere in Europe, enabling Chelsea to offload fringe players to clubs on the Continent.
Michy Batshuayi and Kurt Zouma last week completed season-long loan moves from Chelsea to Valencia and Everton respectively.
