Chelsea youngsters make it nine in a row and maintain three-year home record
- Chelsea Under-18s now nine points clear of Arsenal
- Have won nine games in a row
- Have not conceded in five matches
- Unbeaten at Cobham since April 2015
Chelsea’s Under-18s beat Leicester 2-0 on Tuesday afternoon to make it nine wins in a row and leave them nine points clear at the top of the table.
Both goals came in the second half at the Blues’ Cobham training ground – where the Under-18s have not lost for almost three years. Jody Morris’ side have also now kept five consecutive clean sheets.
Martell Taylor-Crossdale’s penalty put them ahead and Charlie Brown sealed the victory.
Taylor-Crossdale’s spot-kick – the striker’s 19th goal of the season – came after Tariq Lamptey was fouled in the area.
And Taylor-Crossdale (pictured above) set up the second goal by crossing for Brown to score from close range.
