Chelsea youngsters come from behind to thrash Southampton
Charlie Brown scored twice as leaders Chelsea came from behind to beat Southampton 4-1 in the Under-18 Premier League.
Callum Hudson-Odoi also scored for the Blues, who were behind at half-time.
They made a bright start and went close to opening the scoring when Harvey St Clair’s effort struck the crossbar.
Michael Obafemi’s volley put the visitors ahead, but Chelsea responded emphatically after the break.
Hudson-Odoi levelled with a tidy finish and was also involved in his team’s second goal, sending a cross into the box, where Christoph Klarer turned the ball into his own net.
Brown, on as a substitute, made it 3-1 after being found by Reece James’ cross and scored again in the final minute.
Meanwhile, Reece York’s first-half goal gave Fulham’s Under-18s a 1-0 win at home to Leicester.
