Chelsea’s Kiwomya suffers injury playing for Crewe

Chelsea youngster Alex Kiwomya suffered a nasty-looking shoulder injury during Crewe’s 2-0 win at Grimsby.

Kiwomya, who has impressed since joining Crewe on loan from the Blues, appeared to be in considerable pain as he left the pitch late in the match.

He was taken to hospital after being given gas and air, and his condition is being assessed.

The 20-year-old winger, who previously had spells on loan at Barnsley and Fleetwood, has scored four goals this season.
