Sterling signs new Chelsea deal and joins Blackpool on loan
Dujon Sterling has signed a new two-year Chelsea contract and joined Blackpool on loan for the rest of the season.
Sterling’s new deal includes the option of a third year and his loan move gives him another chance to play in the Championship.
Having impressed in League One while on loan at Coventry, he joined Wigan last year but that loan was cut short by an injury.
Now fit again, Sterling, who turns 22 next month, is looking to play regular first-team football.
“I feel in the best shape of my life and this is the test that I need,” he told Blackpool’s website.
