Chelsea youngster Mount scores twice in England Under-19 win
Chelsea’s Mason Mount scored twice for England Under-19s as they beat Latvia 3-0 in a European Championship qualifier on Saturday.
Blues youngsters Reece James and Trevoh Chalobah also played in Skopje, as did goalkeeper Ellery Balcombe of Brentford. Chelsea’s Dujon Sterling and Jamie Cumming were unused substitutes.
Mount opened the scoring and added a late third for England following a goal by Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah.
Mount, who is currently on loan at Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem, also scored in a qualifier against Hungary earlier this week.
The two victories mean a win against hosts Macedonia on Tuesday would secure top spot in the group.
