Chelsea youngster likened to Torres after superb performance

MK Dons boss Karl Robinson likened Patrick Bamford to Chelsea striker Fernando Torres after the teenager made an outstanding debut for the League One side.

Blues forward Bamford, who joined the Dons on loan this week, won a penalty and set up two other goals as they thrashed Colchester 5-1.

“Patrick’s a real talent – he’s got a Fernando Torres style about him,” Robinson declared.

“He had a phenomenal turn of pace for the penalty and he’s set up three goals up, had two or three shots and he was always a threat.”
