Keeper Collins extends loan spell at Burton

Goalkeeper Bradley Collins has extended his loan spell at Burton from Chelsea until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old joined the Brewers on transfer deadline day in August and has since made 15 appearances for the League One club, keeping with four clean sheets.

He had a spell on loan with League Two side Forest Green Rovers last season.

Collins told Burton’s website: “I’m really delighted to have got it over the line and we can look forward to the rest of the season now.

“It was definitely an easy decision. The boys are great, the manager is great and I like the way we play.

“I want us to keep pushing on now, push up the league and give it all we’ve got.

“League One has a lot more quality than League Two. There’s not a lot of difference in styles, but there’s a lot more quality when players get into those positions.”

Burton will face Manchester City in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup, while Chelsea will take on Tottenham.

It means Collins could end up playing against Chelsea at Wembley if both clubs reach the final.
