Chelsea’s Kiwomya extends loan deal at Crewe
Chelsea youngster Alex Kiwomya has extended his loan with Crewe Alexandra until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old winger has played 25 times for the League Two club, scoring seven goals.
In November, then Crewe boss Steve Davis – who left the club on Sunday – praised Kiwomya for the impact he was making during his time at the club.
The initial deal between the two clubs expired on Monday but the Blues have agreed to let Kiwomya stay at Gresty Road for the remainder of the campaign.
He will also be eligible for the play-offs, should Crewe get there.
Sheffield-born Kiwomya, the nephew of former QPR and Arsenal forward Chris, was signed by Chelsea from Rotherham in 2010 and is out of contract this summer.
The former England Under-19 international has also had loan spells with Barnsley and Fleetwood.
