Ruben Loftus-Cheek believes Chelsea boss Antonio Conte’s training methods are turning him into a better player.
The 20-year-old midfielder impressed in his 70 minutes on the pitch in Sunday’s 4-1 FA Cup win over League One Peterborough.
Fellow academy product Nathaniel Chalobah also started, while Ola Aina came on during the second half.
And Loftus-Cheek feels Conte’s attention to detail and trademark 3-4-3 formation are adding new strings to his bow.
“I’m getting my development in training with him,” Loftus-Cheek told Chelsea’s website.
“He always helps me in training and playing different positions is only going to help my knowledge of the game.
“In all positions we can play well and we’re versatile. We saw Pedro play as a wing-back on Sunday and there are no egos – wherever we’re asked to play we’ll do that to the best of our ability.
“When the cup games come around the players who haven’t played much usually get a chance, so it was great for me to get an opportunity.”
