Chelsea youngster Mason Mount is close to joining Frank Lampard’s Derby on loan.
Blues legend Lampard, who recently took over as Derby boss, is keen to snap up the 19-year-old midfielder on a season-long deal.
Mount impressed last season on loan at Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem and is now set to play in the Championship.
A number of other clubs have expressed an interest in him, but an agreement is close for him to move to Pride Park.
Mount is well known to Jody Morris, who worked with him at Chelsea.
Former Blues midfielder Morris left his role as Chelsea’s Under-18s boss to become Lampard’s assistant at Derby.
