Tammy Abraham trained on the eve of Chelsea’s Champions League showdown with Bayern Munich but Callum Hudson-Odoi did not take part in the session and is expected to miss the game.
Abraham, a substitute against Tottenham on Saturday, hopes to return to the starting line-up for Tuesday’s match.
But Hudson-Odoi is still struggling with a hamstring problem and was not involved on Monday morning.
Neither were N’Golo Kante and Christian Pulisic. Kante is currently expected to be out for three weeks with a groin injury and Pulisic has been sidelined since New Year’s Day.
On a brighter note for Chelsea, Ruben Loftus-Cheek continues to train with the first team as he closes in on a return to action following a ruptured Achilles tendon.
Manager Frank Lampard will provide an update on the injuries situation at a pre-match news conference later today.
Lampard is due to speak at around 6.30pm. Blues midfielder Mateo Kovacic will also speak to the media.
