Chelsea to play Barcelona in friendly

Chelsea will play Barcelona in a pre-season friendly in Japan in July.

The two sides will face each other on Tuesday 23 July as part of the Rakuten Cup.

The match will take place at the 64,000-capacity Saitama Stadium – one of Japan’s top sporting venues.

It will be played four days after Chelsea take on J-League champions Kawasaki Frontale in Yokohama.
