Diego Costa will have a scan to assess the extent of an injury he picked up in Chelsea’s 1-0 victory over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
The striker was in the thick of the action, making a fine run which led to Per Mertesacker’s red card and scoring the winner before hobbling off after 68 minutes.
Blues boss Guus Hiddink said he is optimistic the injury is not significant.
Hiddink said: “It was a little bit on the knee. We will check it. Will make some scans. I don’t think it is very serious.”
Costa’s goal was his sixth in as many matches.
