Chelsea suffer double injury setback

Frank Lampard and Branislav Ivanovic will be out of action for at least a month.

The Chelsea duo missed the Blues’ New Year’s Day win at Southampton after picking up injuries during the recent victory against Liverpool.

And manager Jose Mourinho confirmed after the game at St Mary’s that neither player will return before the end of January.

Ivanovic has a knee problem that initially did not seem serious, but the defender will be sidelined for longer than was first expected.

Lampard has a muscle injury and was substituted at half-time against the Merseysiders.
