Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah and Dujon Sterling and goalkeeper Ellery Balcombe of Brentford played for England as they beat Turkey 3-2 in their opening game of the European Under-19 Championship in Finland.
The defending champions recovered from going a goal down early on to win the Group B match in Seinajoki.
England’s goals were scored by Tottenham’s Japhet Tanganga, Ben Brereton of Nottingham Forest and Sunderland’s Elliot Embleton.
Chalobah and Sterling, who have been loaned to Ipswich and Coventry respectively, are among five Chelsea players in the squad, the others being defender Tariq Lamptey, midfielder Conor Gallagher and keeper Jamie Cumming, who were unused substitutes.
England’s next group game will be against Ukraine on Friday.
