Chelsea have completed the signing of highly-rated Brazilian playmaker Oscar from Internacional.
Several European clubs – including Tottenham – were keen to capture the 20-year-old, who is currently on international duty with Brazil’s Olympic squad.
Chelsea are believed to have paid around £25m for him following several weeks of negotiations.
It was claimed on a number of occasions that they had reached an agreement to sign him, but early last week a deal was finally put in place.
Oscar subsequently underwent a medical ahead of the formal announcement of his transfer, which was made by Chelsea on Wednesday afternoon.
