More speculation over Sarri’s future after Chelsea defeat

Chelsea’s defeat at Everton has prompted more speculation about the future of Maurizio Sarri.

The Blues are sixth in the table and in danger of missing out on a top-four finish for the second season running.

And the Daily Express speculate that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich might use the international break to sack Sarri.

Head coach Sarri is under pressure after some dismal results – particularly away from home – and controversial team selections.

His team dominated the first half at Goodison Park but it was a totally different story after the interval and the 2-0 loss leaves Chelsea three points behind fourth-placed Arsenal.

“The players don’t know what happened in the second half,” Sarri said afterwards.

“I cannot explain it. We played the best first half in the season and we could have scored four or five and then suddenly we stopped playing.

“It’s very strange. We were in control of the match.”

  • As long as Sarri is in charge 12 the is not a bad number in the premiere league.

  • Kindly to the board of chelsea football club headed by mr. Abrahamovic, kindly get us a new and standard coach, chealsea is a big team you cant just appoint any coach anyhow, even that will disappoint us as this sarri now. Please we beg you sack sarri

  • Indeed sarri is nothing but a failure in chelsea. the board of cfc should urgently looked for replacement b4 it is too late.

  • Sarri's continued stay in Chelsea is to the club's detriment. He should be sacked immediately And with him, a number of old tired legs including Jorginho.

  • Why on earth will sari still play Alonso ,David luiz is dosen,t deserves to play that mathes

  • I AM TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED INDEED. I WISH IT WAS CONTE ATLEAST. THE CHAIRPERSON OF NAPOLI HAD WARNED US BEFORE WE SACKED CONTE. HE TOLD US THAT SARRI WAS A FAILURE.
I DON'T FEEL LIKE WE SHOULD KEEP HIM BECAUSE HE HAS EXPLOITED KANTE, HAZARD, HODSON, BATSHWAY, VICTOR MOSES AND LOFTUS BEEN CHEEK.
I HATE AND BLAME SPORTING DIRECTORATE BOARD FOR FAILING TO ADAPT AND CREATE A BETTER COACHING STAFF AT THE CLUB.

  • Chelsea will never achieve anything under Sarri even a top postion and the Board is to blame for hiring a failure

  • Sarri's selection is highly questionable, I wonder why he doesn't stick with the team that is performing well in Europa.. The truth is some players in Chelsea have outlived their usefulness and need to move on. E.g. Azip, Luiz, Alonso, Drinkwater, Higuahin,, Willian, Pedro, Jorginho, Zappa, Cahill not forgetting Coach Sarri. Let these players go and let's build afresh. We need to take drastic action in times like this.
