Antonio Conte says Chelsea are a very different team to the one which lost to Arsenal and Liverpool earlier in the season.
Those defeats led to doubts about Chelsea’s title credentials, but since then they have changed formation, won seven Premier League matches in a row and sit top of the table.
And Blues boss Conte believes their transformation was underlined by the manner in which they came from behind to beat Tottenham 2-1 on Saturday.
The Italian declared: “We are not the same team we were against Liverpool and Arsenal. If we were the same team, we would have lost that game.
“We are working a lot and the players are enjoying their football. They know that in some games it is normal that you can’t dominate all the time.”
Spurs, without a win at Stamford Bridge since 1990, were the better side in the first half and led through Christian Eriksen’s goal.
But Pedro hauled the hosts level and Victor Moses’ second-half goal clinched another derby triumph.
“I think together we found the right solution to win the game,” Conte added.
“In the second half we exploited situations we didn’t exploit in the first half.”
