Frank Lampard has confirmed that Callum Hudson-Odoi is still not fit enough to be considered for a place in the Chelsea side.
Hudson-Odi missed Sunday’s win at Aston Villa and will not be involved in the home match against Manchester City on Thursday.
Defender Fikayo Tomori also remains unavailable, having recently picked up a muscle injury in training.
“We’re all the same as we were for Aston Villa,” Blues boss Lampard explained.
“Fikayo Tomori is still probably about a week away from training properly with us.
“Callum Hudson-Odoi is still searching for fitness. He’s fit but not match fit yet.”
Meanwhile, Lampard has insisted that Chelsea have not made bid for Kai Havertz.
It follows reports that the club are in talks with Bayer Leverkusen over a move for the Germany winger.
