Conte disappointed after Chelsea draw
Antonio Conte says Chelsea cannot afford to bank on other teams dropping points as they chase the title.
The point gained in the 1-1 draw at Burnley looks a useful one in light of second-placed Tottenham losing against Liverpool the previous day.
But Blues boss Conte said: “For our mentality, we must be a bit disappointed to take one point and not all three points.
“We have to think only of ourselves, not to look at others. I think that’s the right way if we want to do something important this season. It’s important to look at ourselves.
“We must try always to win. I am pleased for the commitment of my players and the will to fight. But we must be a bit disappointed with this point because we started very well.”
Conte’s side failed to register a shot on target during the second half at Turf Moor, where Pedro gave them an early lead.
“In second half we tried with all our strength to win the game, but it didn’t happen,” Conte said.
“It’s a pity. We tried to play football and tried to create the chances against a strong team.”
