Chelsea have confirmed that Lewis Baker will spend the coming season with German club Fortuna Dusseldorf – the midfielder’s eighth loan move.
Baker, 24, had load spells at Leeds and Reading last season, previously had two spells with Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem, and has also been on loan at Sheffield Wednesday, MK Dons and Middlesbrough.
He has made one first-team appearance for Chelsea, in the FA Cup, and his longer-term future appears to lie away from Stamford Bridge.
His latest move was confirmed 24 hours after Blues youngster Jake Clarke-Salter joined Birmingham City on loan.
