Antonio Conte has confirmed that Tiemoue Bakayoko is fit and available for Chelsea’s game at Stoke after the midfielder was involved in a minor car accident.
The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon and Bakayoko did not suffer any significant injuries.
“He’s fit. It was a minor accident and he is fit and available for the Stoke game,” said Blues boss Conte.
Eden Hazard, meanwhile, is in contention for his first Premier League start of the season.
Hazard, who had ankle surgery during the summer, returned to the starting line-up for Wednesday’s Carabao Cup win against Nottingham Forest.
“I am pleased for Eden because I think in the last game he played very well,” said Conte, whose side face Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday and Manchester City in the league next weekend.
“He played with good intensity and I think now his injury is overcome,” the Italian added.
“Now we have to play three games and there is the possibility to pick him for these games.”
Danny Drinkwater remains sidelined as he is still recovering from a calf problem.
