Chelsea lose to City in New York friendly
Chelsea were beaten 5-3 by Manchester City in the second of two friendlies in the United States.
The Blues, who lost 4-3 to City in St Louis on Thursday, played their part in an entertaining game at Yankee Stadium in New York, where Ramires scored twice and Juan Mata netted their third goal.
They were two down after Gareth Barry and Samir Nasri scored in a first half in which Chelsea youngster Nathan Ake hit the woodwork with a long-range shot.
Ramires pulled a goal back early in the second half and had an effort cleared off the line by Pablo Zabaleta before James Milner made it 3-1.
Ramires scored again and then so did Nasri, before Mata’s brilliant free-kick went in off the underside of the bar.
Edin Dzeko got City’s fifth, firing into the corner of the net with eight minutes left.
