Chelsea in talks to sign winger de Bruyne

Chelsea have entered discussions with Genk over the signing of winger Kevin de Bruyne.

The 20-year-old has come to the attention of several top clubs during the last year and is believed to be close to an £8.5m move to Stamford Bridge.

Genk director Dirk Degraen is in London for talks and a deal could be completed within the next 48 hours.

De Bruyne played against the Blues twice in this season’s Champions League and last term helped Genk win the Belgian title.

He is expected to be loaned back to Genk for the rest of this season once his sale to Chelsea has been finalised.
