Callum Hudson-Odoi underlined his return from injury by scoring two brilliant goals for England’s Under-21 side.
The Chelsea youngster, recently back after a ruptured Achilles tendon, was outstanding in the Under-21 European Championship qualifier against Austria at Stadium MK, where England won 5-1.
Hudson-Odoi opened the scoring with a thumping volley from Max Aarons’ cross and his second goal, scored just before half-time to make it 4-0, was a sublime strike after he had ran with the ball from deep inside his own area.
Defender Marc Guehi, also of Chelsea, played too, while Fulham’s Steven Sessegnon came on as a substitute. England’s unused substitutes included Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher and goalkeeper Ellery Balcombe of Brentford.
Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah scored a hat-trick.
