Didier Drogba has confirmed his move to Chinese outfit Shanghai Shenhua.
The out-of-contract striker, who left Chelsea this summer after eight years at Stamford Bridge, has agreed a two-and-a-half-year deal with his new club.
The Ivorian will be reunited with his former team-mate Nicolas Anelka, who left west London last season.
Drogba, 34, played a starring role in Chelsea’s Champions League triumph against Bayern Munich, scoring a late equaliser and then netting the winning penalty in a dramatic shoot-out.
That penalty was his final kick for the Blues, who won three Premier League titles, four FA Cups and two Carling Cups during his time with them.
