Maurizio Sarri does not believe an injury Alvaro Morata picked up during Chelsea’s 2-2 draw with Vidi is serious.
Morata went off with what looked like a knee injury just before half-time in the Europa League game in Budapest.
The striker landed awkwardly, but Blues boss Sarri said immediately after the game that he is hopeful the problem is not a major one.
“The first impression of the doctor is that it isn’t too bad. But we will have to check it tomorrow,” Sarri explained.
Morata’s replacement, Olivier Giroud, scored a 75th-minute equaliser to preserve Chelsea’s unbeaten Europa League record under Sarri.
