Zappacosta completes Genoa loan move

Davide Zappacosta has joined Genoa from Chelsea on a season-long loan.

The right-back, 28, has been nudged down the pecking order at Chelsea by the emergence of Reece James and was loaned to Roma last season.



He suffered cruciate ligament damage soon after that move and spent most of the campaign on the sidelines.

He now gets another chance to play regular first-team football in his native Italy.

Zappacosta joined Chelsea from Torino in the summer of 2017 but has started just 34 matches for the Blues.
