Kante returns to Chelsea after picking up injury

Chelsea have confirmed that N’Golo Kante is returning to the club for treatment after picking up a hamstring injury while playing for France.

Kante was hurt late in the game against Ukraine in Paris, with the French Football Federation subsequently confirming he will miss matches against Kazakhstan and Bosnia & Herzegovina.

It is another blow for the midfielder, who has been plagued by injury problems during the last couple of seasons and was showing signs of a return to his best form.

However, Chelsea have described the problem as a “small hamstring injury” and that “a small lesion” was revealed by medical examinations.
