Chelsea’s Under-19 side thrash Sporting
Chelsea’s youngsters thrashed Sporting Lisbon 5-0 in the Uefa Youth League ahead of the first team’s Champions League clash with the Portuguese club.
Tammy Abraham scored twice for the Blues, who were 4-0 up at the break following a blistering first-half display. Charlie Colkett, Charly Musonda and Dominic Solanke also found the net.
Colkett opened the scoring from the penalty spot following a foul on Isaiah Brown and then set up Musonda, who fired into the bottom corner from just outside the box.
Colkett was also involved in the third goal, combining with Musonda before Abraham finished from close range.
Abraham then turned provider, crossing from the right for Solanke to net the fourth.
And Abraham made it 5-0 in the opening minute of the second half when he curled a shot into the far corner.
The team’s victory followed a 4-1 thrashing of Shalkle earlier this month.
