Andre Villas-Boas shrugged off criticism from Chelsea fans during his team’s 2-0 defeat at Everton.
The Blues boss is under increasing pressure following poor results and reports that owner Roman Abramovich is running out of patience.
And some of the travelling supporters barracked him at Goodison Park, where their team’s defeat saw them drop out of the top four.
Villa-Boas said: “It is part of the job. At the moment we are fifth in the league and it’s not good enough for us.”
The Portuguese, who left recent signing Gary Cahill on the bench, made no excuses for his team’s listless display.
Steven Pienaar netted the opener for Everton after only five minutes and an error by Ashley Cole led to Denis Stracqualursi doubling the Merseysiders’ lead.
“Today was one of our worst games of the season. I think the worst in every sense of the word,” Villas-Boas admitted.
“In our performance we aren’t sure of anything positive. It was a difficult day for us with a lot of negatives.”

I am sorry to have say this fellow blues fans, but AVB has to go now!! i for one was really happy when Chelsea appointed him. I am Portuguse myself and in Portugal my team is FC PORTO. When we Porto blow everyone away in the league when AVB was in charge i said i hope Chelsea get him, he is young and up coming manager with a pedigree and would be at Chelsea for many years. Finally he arrived when had a great start to season, but while this was happening AVB foud himself falling out with the likes of Lamps drogba alex and anelka . Now things have got so bad we find ourselfs in 5th spot and in danger of not making the champions league this yr. Never under Roman has this happend before this is why i feel we should either bring in ray wilkins, guss hiddenk, or fabio capello at least untill the end of the season try to finish 3rd or fourth get qualification into the champions league spot and than bring The special one back JOSE MOURINHO. he has already expressed his desire to return so please roman if u really love chelsea as u say u do. Let Jose come back be allowed to manage without your interferience>

The problem of the such worse displays is AVB himself.He has no idea of how he wants chelsea to play.the midfield looks sluggish and ineffective and too slow to respond to quick moves.Mata the only playmaker is always shifted outside leaving players like meireles n lampard to do the quick breakaways.lampard just cannot get his feet right and meireles like to just pass the ball back.The problem is AVB,inspite of seeing so many draws n losses he doesnt wanna change the system and formation.I blame him more because he is not Jose Mourinho.wen mourinho arrived he brought with him the players he knew will deliver the job suited to his style of work like ferreira carvalho AVB did nothing.He kept players like kalou mikel malouda drogba anelka bosingwa in the team.they should all leave chelsea and we need players who pass the ball quick like tottenham players bale modric lennon adebayor too for that instint.if Chelsea lose out on champions league spot is solely the manager's fault and AVB should accept it.I love chelsea and cannot see it lose ground due to obstinate behaviour of AVB to suit a style for players who can score
