Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo played down the significance of Fernando Torres’ reaction to being substituted during the west London derby against QPR.
Striker Torres was clearly unhappy after being replaced by Daniel Sturridge in the 0-0 draw at Loftus Road, where the Blues were twice denied a penalty.
Eden Hazard was brought down in the box by Shaun Wright-Phillips and skipper John Terry, who picked up a knock during the game and will be assessed on Sunday, was wrestled to the floor by Ryan Nelsen.
Torres endured a frustrating afternoon before being taken off, but Di Matteo said: “No player is happy when they come off. It’s not a problem.”
The Italian added: “The only disappointment is that we didn’t score a goal. It was a good performance from us and we controlled the game.
“We had chances to score, it was just the goal that was missing. One goal would probably been enough to win the game.
“With the penalty incidents and with the chances we created, on another day we could have scored.
“With Hazard the referee was in a good position and there was contact. Maybe he didn’t think it was enough, but with JT and Nelsen it was a stonewall penalty.”

torres is a player who always want to score in a match but his problem now is that he doesn't decide fast whether to dribble or to pass or to move with the ball but torress is still going to play 4 chelsea and is because he doesn't see any body competing with him in the team that is why his playing rubbish for the team
Torres can't score coz he hasn't got fast enough players behind him.... stop blaming him like that. U 4get all the +ves he has brought, like scoring that goal against barca last season. Otherwise cfc would have won in shame... a lost

Torres is a joke, he keeps losing ball throughout the whole game, when he gets benched because he is clearly useless he moans? We need to get rid of him ASAP

Sturridge is a good forwarder but not a good striker. Torres strikes better than him. Torres should be retrained on quick shot instead of dribbling to score. Oscar should work on his starminer. Moses n Hazard should handle d wings. Mikel stop uneccessary back passes. Ramires should always pass the ball to either the striker or winger.
torres is useless becoz chelsea midfielder is useless, slow.. play lampard n mikel make torres weak, can't score...chelsea will lose to juven if play lampard n mikel together.
Torres should be sold so that we can purchase potent striker like falcao
