Chelsea boss defends team selection
Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo said he had no choice but to rest some of his star players for the 2-1 defeat against West Brom.
Key midfield trio Juan Mata, Oscar and Ramires were all left out of the starting line-up as the Blues’ winless Premier League run stretched to four games with a below-par display.
“It was just because of the midweek games,” Di Matteo said.
“They were all over Europe and the world. Our players were coming back from long flights with five or six-hour time delays and they were not in the condition to last or start the game.”

Di Matteo should not get us angry, if the fans lose patience, he will be gone faster than AVB. How can he be giving us suspect selections? You don’t gamble when you are playing catch up.

what is di matteo saying,when u have marko marin on the bench and u allow moses to be on the pitch. Think twice because marin is far better than some of the players u have been using. Any way tell us if u have a problem with marin. Take your time because your choice of selections are much, much questionable and if care is not taken u leave chelsea like AVB

Stop talking flimsy excuses di Mateo, why can’t Marin start this game or play a part in it? You are just not cut out for this job, imagine your stupid changes, removing mikel and putting Ramires, when Moses is missfiring, you can’t remove Moses that is shy of the 18yard box and put Marin that was born inside the box? He lives there ( in the 18yard), that his close control and dribbles can spilt thight defense can not be over emphasize, be careful coach, or you will end up like AVB. Like they say, “a word is enough for the wise’ that’s if you can be called one coach.
